Most Expensive $2.3 million Aston Martin One-77

First up for the One-77 buyer is arriving in style. Aston Martin has lately unveiled the One-77, a codename for the as-yet-unnamed V12 coupe, the first new Aston Martin since the company was sold to Ford.
Most fly by helicopter to Aston’s HQ, at Gaydon in Warwickshire. Then they get the red-carpet treatment by being met by the car’s creator, Dr Ulrich Bez. Aston Martin One-77 fuses advanced technology with stunning Aston Martin design to create possibly the world’s most desirable automotive art form. Based on a sophisticated carbon fibre chassis with a handcrafted aluminium body, this 7.3 litre V12 super car will deliver exhilarating performance for a strictly limited number of discerning customers.

Aston will make only 77 models (seven is the Aston Martin CEO Ulrich Benz lucky number!) and each customer will be able to customize the supercar to their personal tastes. Customers can spend months before choosing their colours and materials, most consulting their partners for advice, as well as the Aston experts.
Having made their decision, they return to the studio to see in computer- generated 3D, on a cinema screen, just how their dream machine will look and if it is exactly what they want. Each buyer also meets Aston chief engineer Chris Porritt, who explains how every part — and its F1 carbon-fibre chassis — are handcrafted so it handles and performs to perfection.

Aston Martin One-77 will be the fastest car the British marque has ever built. Fitted with a hand finished 7-litre V12 engine, the Aston Martin One-77 will produce more than 650 horsepower. Top speed is estimated at 220 mph and 60 mph arrives in 3.5 seconds. Dr Bez adds: “The One-77 is not like any other supercar. It is a completely different animal because of the way it combines beauty and power. “Embodying everything Aston Martin stands for; the One-77 has proven itself as the most desirable automotive art form at its premiere today. We have achieved a new level of design and craftsmanship which has been clearly recognised by the public here in the homeland of design at Villa d’Este,” said Aston Martin Chief Executive, Dr Ulrich Bez.

Aston Martin is going to unseat the Veyron as the World’s Most Expensive Car knowing that the coupe model is anticipated to bear a retail price of $2.3 million. the One-77 is powered by an evolution of the 6.0-litre V12 engines fitted to the DBS, DB9 and new V12 Vantage models that produces more than 700 horsepower which is transmitted to the road through the rear wheels via a new six-speed robotized gearbox with paddles shifters on the steering wheel.
With a projected weight of around 1,500kg or 3,300 lbs, the One-77 is said to have a top speed in excess of 200mph or 320km/h, with a 0-60mph (96km/h) time in approximately 3.5 seconds.
