Honda cars in the relief program

Some manufacturers are seeking to lose weight in their models. This is the case of Honda will review its assembly methods to ease its future cars.
There are manufacturers that rely on new materials such as carbon fiber. Others are more radical and remove which can weigh heavily. Honda on the other hand does not want it all and wants to keep his models as they are.Peugeot recently, a 208 lighter the 207, the Japanese firm intends to reduce the weight of its future vehicles.
According to the daily Nikkei , Honda plans to change its methods of design and assembly to reduce its cars without compromising on the various safety equipment or comfort.
To achieve the Japanese manufacturer plans to invest several billion yen in its plants to reduce the use of nuts and bolts in production models. To achieve this, Honda is expected to be welded directly to the chassis body.
These methods have already started relief on the assembly line for small-car brand such as Honda N BOX.The result of this new assembly method would have allowed the minivan to reduce its weight by 10% compared to competitor vehicles of similar size.
