Seat presents a prototype Hybrid Seat Leon

Seat presents a prototype of a Seat Leon with the plug-in hybrid technology . The Leon TWINDRIVE hybrid “plug-in” benefits of the autonomy of an internal combustion engine 1.4 TSI 115 hp and a zero-emission driving in the city. Seat

targeting a range of 52 km in electric mode with batteries of 12 kW / h. With its electric motor of 115 hp, the compact sedan can run on Spanish electricity to a speed of 120 km / h . In urban areas, the engine is extra to the electric motor which is a priority.

On longer journeys or during hard acceleration, the engine 115 hp 1.4 TSI comes into action. With its engine, the hybrid sedan has a Spanish combined capacity of 163 hp . It reaches a top speed of 170 km / h .

Seat announces a combined consumption of 2.1 liters of gasoline to 100 km and CO2 emissions of 49 g / km.

tests in actual use by governments of Catalonia and Madrid Leon Hybrid will be held in 2012. The Spanish manufacturer is mass production and marketing 2015 of the Leon Ecomotive TWINDRIVE.
